Our Epoxy & Concrete Flooring Process
Scroll through each step from assessment to final cure. The progress rail on the right shows where you are.
- 1
On-Site Assessment & Quote
We inspect your concrete (age, hardness, previous coatings), check moisture, and confirm the right system for your space.
- Moisture & vapor checks (when needed)
- Concrete hardness/CSP target
- Repair plan & movement joints review
- 2
Mechanical Prep (CSP 2–3)
We mechanically profile the slab with industrial grinders and vacuum extraction for the best possible bond.
- Diamond grinding / shot-blasting per area
- Dust-managed HEPA extraction
- Edges, stem walls, and tight spots handled
- 3
Repairs & Joint Work
Cracks, spalls, and divots are repaired with fast-set materials; control joints are honored or filled per spec.
- Structural cracks evaluated & stitched when required
- Polyurea/epoxy patching & reprofiling
- Optional joint fill for smooth finish
- 4
Prime/Base Coat
A high-solids primer or base epoxy is applied for deep penetration and adhesion.
- Pigmented moisture-tolerant options available
- Wet-out of repairs for seamless look
- Uniform film build per manufacturer spec
- 5
Broadcast (Flake/Quartz/Metallic)
Decorative media is broadcast to full rejection (flake/quartz) or poured/feathered (metallic) for your chosen look.
- Full-chip flake systems (most garages)
- Quartz for aggressive traction
- Metallic epoxy for showroom swirls
- 6
Scrape, Vac & Detail
After cure, excess media is scraped and vacuumed. We detail edges so the surface is flat and consistent.
- Two-direction scrape
- Fine vacuum & edge touch-ups
- Tack pass to remove fines
- 7
UV-Stable Topcoat
Clear urethane or polyaspartic topcoat for chemical and abrasion resistance. Gloss/satin options available.
- Single or double topcoat per use case
- Added traction additive if desired
- UV-stable chemistry for color holdout
- 8
Cure & Turnover
Walk-on typically 24 hours; vehicle traffic 72 hours (system & weather dependent). Care guide included.
- Blue-tape boundaries & signage
- Final walkthrough & punch list
- Maintenance tips for long-term performance
Typical Timeline
- 1 day: Standard garage flake system (prep + broadcast + topcoat)
- 2–3 days: Repairs, moisture mitigation, or larger footage
- Cure windows: Light foot traffic ~24 hrs; vehicles ~72 hrs (weather/system dependent)
System Options
- Full-Flake EpoxyDurable, slip-resistant, hides dirt.
- Quartz BroadcastMax traction & chemical resistance.
